St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 8142 Valley View Road, East Allen Township, will hold a Vera Bradley purse bingo on Saturday, Oct. 5.
Doors open at noon.

State Rep. Julie Harhart (R-183rd) is holding her annual senior expo 10 a.m.-noon today, Thursday, Sept. 12, at the Allen Township Fire Hall, 3530 Howertown Road.
Admission to the expo is free, and refreshments will be served.
"I encourage all our area senior citizens and their caregivers to attend this fun and informative event," said Harhart. "This is a great opportunity to collect information on programs and services of interest and to have questions answered by the experts."
Seniors who attend the expo will have the opportunity to visit with more than 70 local, state and federal agencies offering information on programs and services available to seniors.
Free vision and blood pressure screenings also will be offered, along with balance assessments.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1335 Old Carriage Road, Northampton, will hold a yard sale this Saturday, 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
There will be many household items for sale, along with books, furniture and more.
Refreshments will be available and a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the Northampton Area Food Bank.

The Gov. Wolf Historical Society will host a meeting Tuesday, Oct. 8 at the campus, 6600 Jacksonville Road, East Allen Township.
Steve Hilberg will present a display and talk on early types of lighting, from colonial times to the invention of the electric light bulb. Members and guests are encouraged to bring any unique or unusual types of lighting from their collections.
The talk is free and open to the public.
On Dec. 7, the society will hold its 33rd annual Christmas house tour, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. As always, a craft display and sale will take place on the society's campus during the tour.
