Bettie F. Landis, 91, of Nazareth, and formerly of Media and Palm Harbor, Fla., died Aug. 25, 2013, at Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Mary (Bettencup) Gerfen.

She was a graduate of McCasky High School, Lancaster, and was the class of 1938.

She married the love of her life, Cletus Landis Sr., in 1940.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Media. She was one of the candle lighters of the church.

She was a member of the Eastern Star and Airstreamers in Pa. and Fla. She enjoyed traveling with her husband in the U.S., Mexico, Alaska and all the national parks.

She is survived by two children, Cletus Jr. and his wife Carol, of Emmaus and Eileen Koster, of Maria Del Rey, Calif.; three grandchildren, Holly Jarrett, Melanie Muir and C.J. Landis; seven great-grandchildren; and one cousin, Pat Gerfen.

Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.
