Welcome 220 new Vikings and Vikettes!

On Aug. 27, the administration of Allentown Central Catholic welcomed the Class of 2017, as well as new transfer students, a day earlier than the rest of the student body for orientation day.

Orientation day allows all the incoming students to get to know their new school without upperclassmen packing the hallways and staircases.

During their first day, Viking mentors and student council members gave school tours, provided helpful advice, showed them their schedule to help them find their classes and introduced the teachers.

For all Central Catholic students, fall will be a busy time. Seniors will be completing college applications and studying for entrance exams while the rest of the students prepare for PSATs.

Fall athletics have begun.

As all the students adjust to the new school year, they will be busy with fall sports practices and have a chance to sign up for the extracurricular clubs Central offers. For the parents, the freshmen parent's open house will be Sept. 26 and the sophomore, junior and senior parent's open house will be Oct. 2.

The 2013-2014 academic year will be a fun and challenging time for all.
