Driver stopped
on I-78
State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Richard C. Weida of Kutztown was stopped for an alleged moving violation 4 p.m. Aug. 4 on I-78 West, Upper Macungie Township.
Police allege Weida was driving under the influence.
Subwoofer,
amplifier stolen
State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Steven Theodore Coutumas, 4531 Park View Drive Apt. 16, North Whitehall Township reported a black and red 12-inch subwoofer enclosure and a red-and-silver amplifier were stolen from his vehicle sometime between 9 p.m. July 14 and 6:15 a.m. the next day.
Police say entry into the vehicle was gained through partially rolled down windows.
The items had a total value of $5,000, police say.

Pickup, car
crash on I-78
Richard D. Irwin, 63, of Cedar Run, N.J., was driving a 2012 Nissan Frontier pickup 3:31 p.m. Aug. 8 in the middle lane on I-78 westbound, Upper Macungie Township, when traffic suddenly stopped in front of him.
Irwin attempted to merge his truck into the right lane striking a 2007 KIA Rio driven by Catiria E. Vega, 30, of Allentown, State Police Troop M Fogelsville say.
Both vehicles merged onto the right shoulder and came to a controlled stop facing west.
Vega, who police say, was wearing her seat belt complained of pain in her left abdomen area and left knee.
Her passenger Gensis D. Sabastro, 27, of Allentown, who police say was not wearing a seat belt, complained of head pain.
Both Vega and Sabastro were transported by Cetronia Ambulance Corps to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
Irwin and his passenger Ellen C. Irwin, 62, of Cedar Run, N.J., who were both wearing their seat belts were uninjured, police say.
The pickup sustained damage to the rear passenger side quarter panel.
The car, which sustained damage to its front driver's side fender, bumper and front window, was removed from the scene by Getz Towing, police say.
Irwin was cited for a traffic violation before District Judge Michael Faulkner, Upper Macungie Township.
Money stolen
in North Whitehall
State Police Troop M Bethlehem say Joseph Kornfiend of Allentown and Antonio Gambino of Coplay reported the front entry glass doors at Kornfiend's Market and Mama's Pizza, were broken 4:54 a.m. July 15 to gain entry to their businesses at 2228 Old Post Road, North Whitehall Township.
According to police, $300 was stolen from a cash register at Mama's Pizza.
The total damage to the two businesses is $1,100.
Flagpole, flags
stolen from yard
State Police Troop M Bethlehem say Ronald A. Wechsler, 5526 Tannery Road, North Whitehall Township, reported a flagpole, American flag and U.S. Marine Corps flag were stolen sometime between noon July 17 and 8 a.m. the next day from his front yard.
