Brian A Bond

Brian A Bond, 70, of Kempton, died Aug. 20, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

He and his wife Riemke J. (Tigchelaar) Bond celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary in April.

Born in Lynn Township, he was a son of Marian E. (Fetherolf) Bond of Kempton, and the late Nevin A. Bond.

A 1961 graduate of Kutztown Area High School, he was a self-employed farmer in Albany Township, Berks County, for more than 50 years.

He also was the former owner of Bond Tax Preparation Service, Kempton, for 50 years before retiring in 2010.

He served his country honorably with the U.S. Army, during the Vietnam War.

A member of the New Bethel Church, Kempton, he currently served on the church cemetery board and as a former deacon.

He will be remembered and respected for his honesty and generous advice.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by daughters, Jennifer H. wife of Christopher T. McKenrick of Bellefontaine, Ohio.; Julie E., wife of Timothy R. Kloehn, of Palos Heights, Ill; sister, Rosemary, wife of Jay C. Drey, of Kutztown; brothers, Jeffrey N., David M. and wife Deborah, Jonathan C. and wife Kelly, all of Kempton and Gary E. and wife Jan of Kutztown; loving grandchildren Jacob, Lucas, Anna and Ian and 21 nieces and nephews.

The family requests contributions in his name be made to New Bethel Church Memorial Fund.

Arrangements were made by Nester Funeral Home, Jacksonville, Lynn Township.
