There's a new smiling face greeting visitors to the front office at Harry S Truman Elementary School. Shannon Rooney began her duties as office secretary succeeding Carole Grejda who retired after 20 years with the Salisbury Township School District in the HST office. Rooney has been with the district for 10 years, having started in a cafeteria position. Most recently she has been an instructional assistant in the school library. Rooney, whose son, Brett Spencer, is a junior at Salisbury High School, said Grejda's retirement "leaves big shoes to fill," but that her years at HST have prepared her well for her new assignment.
