Arlene M. Oswald, 94, of Germansville, died Aug. 18, 2013, in Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton.
She was the widow of Marvin W. Oswald.
Born in Heidelberg Township, she was the daughter of Stanley and Mary (George) Kerschner.
A 1937 graduate of the former Slatington High School, she was the wife of a farmer and worked in various knitting mills in the Slatington area for many years.
She was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ, New Tripoli.
Her survivors include daughters Joyce, wife of Milan Simpson, and AnnaLou, wife of Randall Fritzinger, all of Germansville; grandchildren Kurt Fritzinger and wife Kelly of Allentown, Kyle Fritzinger of Charleston, S.C, Kristine, wife of Frederick Hutton III of Mandeville, La., and Cindy, wife of Jesse Sechler of Germansville; great-grandchildren Abby, Aubree, Mason, Ashlyn, Fritz, Addison and Owen; step-great-grandchildren MaryHall and Frederick IV; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers Ellwood and Clayton Kerschner; sister Mildred Krum and her companion, Nathan Boger.
