For the ninth year Northampton Community College held its Adventures in Healthcare summer program last month, and local students were given an inside look at healthcare oriented careers. Healthcare Education Program Manager Irene Mast said NCC works with Lehigh Valley Hospital and East Central Pa. Area Health Education Center to educate and promote health-centric themes to interested sixth through ninth-grade students from around the Lehigh Valley. This year students learned about sonography, germs, CPR, dental hygiene in NCC's new dental clinic and medicolegal/death investigations in the Northeast Forensic Training Center located in NCC Southside's basement.
