Summer readers at the Emmaus Publc Library completed 1,380 books this summer as part of the "Diggers Club." The most readers this summer were in second grade. The finale to the reading program took place Aug. 14 at Emmaus Community Park with entertainment provided by storyteller Karen Maurer.
