The Crazy Quilters Quilt Guild will meet 7 p.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 3461 Cedar Crest Blvd., Emmaus. The evening's program is the annual pot luck supper, challenge quilts display, a brief business meeting, and show and tell. Friends of the Allentown Parks will hold its second annual event to help raise funds for Allentown's first dog park, noon to 5 p.m. Raindate is Sept. 8. The event is pet friendly and features exhibitors, food and beverages, entertainment, dog fashion show, dog agility course, obedience sessions, pet blessings, demonstrations by the Allentown Police Department K-9 unit, the Allentown Fire Department arson dog and Lehigh Valley Search and Rescue. Sign up for the Grooviest Dog Contest and the Pet and Parent Look-a-like Contest. Meet your favorite mascots including Star Wars characters Khor Marik and Vardoger Wraith. Sept. 13

The Exchange Club of Western Lehigh will hold its sixth annual Sporting Clays Shoot at Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays, 2750 Limestone Street, Coplay. Proceeds earned from the fundraiser are used to support local child abuse prevention programs. The event will begin 8:30 a.m. with continental breakfast. Shooters will then sign in, receive instructions and begin shooting 9:30 a.m. Lunch, individual and squad shooting awards and a 50/50-raffle drawing will follow immediately upon conclusion of the 14 station 100 target shoot.
