Roma M. Bisko, 83, of Emerald, died Aug. 8, 2013, in her home.

She was the wife of the late John Bisko who died in 2003.

Born May 7, 1930, in Emerald, she was a daughter of the late Morris S. and Bertha Jones Kern.

Employed by various knitting mills in the Slatington area for numerous years as a seamstress, she also was a bartender for various years at several bars.

She was of the Christian faith.

Her survivors include daughters Judy, wife of Ed Wanamaker of Emerald, Bonita, wife of James Haydt of Slatington, Dawn, wife of Bartine Mummey of Slatington, Rosemary, wife of Dawson Andrews of Palmerton, Scarlet at home; son Randy and his companion Linda Nails of Germansville; 11 grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; sister Marlene Reph of Danielsville.

She was predeceased by a son, Johnnie Pete in 1999; and a sister Althea Gruber.
