Moore Township Column

The annual country festival will take place 3-9 p.m. this Saturday at Christ United Church of Christ, Little Moore, 913 S. Mink Road, Danielsville. The church is located along Route 946.

The event will feature live music, food and games for children and adults of all ages. A cakewalk is planned, along with a raffle with more than 100 great prizes.

The rain date is Sunday, noon-6 p.m.

The Moorestown Garden Club is having a flower show 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, and noon-4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, at Salem United Church of Christ, 2218 Community Drive.

Moore Township Athletic Association is hosting the NFL Punt, Pass and Kick competition this Sunday beginning at 10 a.m. at the Moore Township Recreation Center football field located off English Road in Bath.

This competition is free and open to boys and girls ages 6-15. Participants must register at www.nfl.com/competition/register/index to compete.

Covenant United Methodist Church, 2715 Mountain View Drive (Route 946), will hold story time for children ages 3-5 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Aug. 21.

Come for a story, make a craft and have a snack. Children under three must be accompanied by an adult.

Mountain View Wesleyan Church, 1001 Deemers Road, is having a craft show 9-3 p.m. Aug. 24. The event will be held rain or shine.

The show will feature plenty of food, fun and crafts along with free child ID cards. A K-9 demonstration is set for 1 p.m.

Covenant will also be having a Volleyball and Knitting Night tonight, Thursday, Aug. 15, at 6:30 p.m.

All are welcome to join a game of volleyball or to learn to knit scarves. All scarves will be donated to a local charity.
