Marleen Gail Schoemaker, 64, of Orefield, died in Lehigh Valley Hospice, July 29, 2013, after losing her battle with cancer.

The daughter of Mary Jean Baylett-Vogelsong of Trexlertown and the late Ralph Vogelsong, she was a 1967 graduate of Parkland High School.

She became a licensed practical nurse at Lehigh Carbon Community College in 1969.

Her final 10 years of nursing were spent at Phoebe Ministries, Allentown.

In addition to her husband, Roger Schoemaker, of Orefield, to whom she was married for 42 years, she is survived by a daughter, Rebecca; grandchildren Maycen and Noah; sisters Jeanette Turner, Beverly Wisser, Debra Willever-Vogelsong, Donna Wilde and their families of nine nieces and nephews.

Contributions may be made in her memory to Lehigh Valley Hospice or to the American Cancer Society.
