James L. Diehl

James L. Diehl, of Allentown, died Aug. 11, 2013, in Whitehall Manor.

He and his wife, the late R. Jean (Rossi) Diehl, were married 59 years.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Catherine (Seifert) Moyer.

He attended Allentown High School and later served his country in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Division.

Employed by UGI Corporation for 42 years, he was a line maintenance supervisor.

A devoted husband and father, he was happiest when surrounded by his family at his home.

He enjoyed working on projects in his home and took great pride in both his family and home.

A lifetime member of the Fullerton Fire Company, he enjoyed trips to Atlantic City with his wife as well as Saturday night pinochle games.

His survivors include daughters, Debra, wife of Dennis Nero and Denise, wife of Mark Zeleski; grandson Mychal Kistler and his partner Alyssia Breyer; granddaughters Ashley, wife of Jaime Rivera, and Jennifer Zeleski; great-grandson Jordan Rivera; and brothers George and Donald Moyer.

His memorial service will be 5 p.m. Aug. 15, at Keller Funeral Homes Inc., 1018 Church St., Fogelsville.

Visitation will be from 4-5 p.m.
