Irvin F. Yerger, Jr., 79, from Wescos-ville, died on Aug. 9, 2013, in his home.
He was the husband of Joan J. (Kneller) Yerger.
Born April 17, 1934, in Frackville, Schuylkill County, he was the son of the late Irvin F. Sr. and Caroline A. (Spears) Yerger.
He was a truck driver for various companies in the Lehigh Valley for many years before retiring.
He was a member of the Orefield congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Jo Anne Schoemaker and her husband, Chris, and Darlene Kepner and her husband, Randy, all of Orefield, Susan Y. Stas and her husband, Robert, of Wescosville, Mari L. Trenge and her husband, David, of Zionsville; stepchildren David R. Ehret and his wife, Debbie, of Allentown, Gail J. Dunn and her husband, Edward, of Andreas, Joy A. Steigerwalt and her husband, Randy, of Zionsville; siblings George and David Yerger, Lillie Korn; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and a step-great-grandson.
A memorial service will take place 4 p.m. on Aug. 18, 2013 in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 4733 Shank-weiler Road, Orefield.
There will be no calling hours.
