Christine M. (Snyder) Hosfeld, 93, of Allentown, formerly of Stony Run, died Aug. 8, 2013, in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

She was the wife of the late Clyde L. Hosfeld.

Born Jan. 7, 1920, in Schnecksville, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Mamie (Lorah) Snyder.

She was a graduate of Slatington High School, Class of 1937 and the former Joyce Art Beauty School, Allentown.

She was the co-owner and operator and postal assistant of the former Hosfeld's General Store and Post Office, Stony Run, for 57 years before retiring.

She was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Stony Run.

A life member of the Order of the Eastern Star, East Penn Chapter 336, Kutztown, she served the organization as Star Point Ester and was a conductress.

Her survivors include daughters, Carolyn L., wife of David M. Seegers of Coatesville, Gloria J., wife of James A. Robb Esq., of Wilmington, Del., Joyce C., wife of Frederick K. "Fritz" Najarian, of Kempton; grandchildren Chad, Jeffrey and Steven Seegers, Matthew Reider and Kelly Raible, Amelia and Jacob Najarian; and five great-grandchildren.
