The Grape Street corridor in Whitehall Township will soon offer another restaurant on the Whitehall Mall property.
Mayor Edward D. Hozza said recently Buffalo Wings, which previously was granted permission by the township, is now ready for construction to get under way. Ground breaking took place recently.
The chain restaurant could open to the public later this year.
Hozza said legal issues between Old Country Buffet and Buffalo Wings settled out of court.
Buffalo Wings will be located between two banks – Lafayette Ambassador and Wells Fargo – on property owned by Simon Property Investments, owners of the Whitehall and Lehigh Valley malls.
Known as Restaurant Row, Grape Street is home to a host of national chain restaurants, from seafood to steaks and spaghetti to chicken. Restaurants are also located in the Lehigh Valley Mall and at its outdoor shopping area. Locally owned, the longtime City View Diner is situated at MacArthur Road and Grape Street.
