Brian G. Jones, 72, of Upper Macungie Township, died Aug. 8, 2013, in his home.

He and his wife Marlane C. (Crater) Jones would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 30.

Born in Pen Argyl, he was the son of the late Wesley M. and Olive M. (Gilpin) Jones.

A graduate of Albright College, Reading, he was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, South Whitehall.

A veteran of the US. Navy, he retired as a commander with the U.S. Naval Reserve.

He was a regional sales manager for Sonoco Products Company, for 22 years until retiring in 2001.

He was a member of Moselem Springs Golf Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Jill Birckbichler and her husband, Brian, of Blandon and Robyn L. Jones of Flying Hills; and grandchildren Justin, Kyle and Courtney Birckbichler.
