The Laurel Fire Company will host its sixth annual block party 2-10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17.

The event will include a bake sale, vendors and crafters, kids games, a dunk tank, beer garden and music by Nite Flyte and The Large Flowerheads. The fire company is also giving away four great prizes this year including an iPad, a $250 gas card, a gas grill and $150 in cash.
