The 52nd annual Lehigh Valley Health Network Muhlenberg Summer Festival, 2545 Schoenersville Road, Bethlehem, through Aug. 17. Festival hours are 5 to 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and noon to 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Craft tents, rides, bands, games, attic treasures and children's activities are just some of the events planned. Proceeds benefit Lehigh Valley Health Network - Muhlenberg. Aug. 17

Eastern Salisbury Fire Department open house, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event includes the smoke house, Smokey Bear, tours of the facility, crafters and food. Western Salisbury Fire Department will also attend.

Three St. Luke's Hospitals and the Hospice/Visiting Nurse Association of St. Luke's will host volunteer open houses 1 to 2:30 p.m. to welcome people interested in volunteering in a health care setting. Some examples of hospital volunteer opportunities include patient advocates, operating room waiting room liaisons, gift shop assistants, clerical assistants, patient companionship, patient and family support and outreach, among others.
