Ronald H. Weaver

Ronald H. Weaver, 74, of Kempton, died July 30, 2013, in Reading Hospital and Medical Center, W. Reading.

He and his wife Helen O. (Snyder) Weaver celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary in July.

Born in Albany Township, he was a son of Blanche M. (Bailey) Weaver of Kempton, and the late Harold D. Weaver.

A 1956 graduate of Kutztown Area High School, he was a 1961 graduate of Indiana Tech, Ft. Wayne, Ind., from which he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering and later obtained his Pennsylvania professional engineering license.

A registered county engineer of Berks County for 34 years until retiring in 2000, he started his working career as a civil engineer at the Wyoming State Highway Department Cheyenne, Wyo.

He was a member of New Bethel Church, Kempton; the Kempton Rod and Gun Club; the Kempton Fire Company and Central Fire Company, Laureldale.

He was an avid Phillies fan and outdoorsman who loved saltwater fishing and hunting.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by sons, Michael C. of Kennesaw, Ga.; Darren R. Weaver at home and a sister Marlene B. Fink, Mertztown.
