Compassion and professionalism were highly evident on Main Street Sunday afternoon when a pedestrian fell and hit his head on the roadway. Stunned and bloodied as a result of his fall, he was comforted by two passersby who immediately called 9-1-1. Within a couple of minutes, two fire inspectors were on the scene aiding the gentleman and they also dialed 9-1-1. Another two minutes and an ambulance was on the scene stabilizing him and readying him for transport to a hospital for medical care. Within a few more minutes a fire pumper arrived and the firefighters cleaned the area with bleach and water. Visit Musikfest and you will be in good hands should there be an emergency.

My wife and I made our annual pilgrimage to Musikfest for two reasons: Cast in Bronze and The Red Elvises. We parked at the Press office on East Third Street and walker over to SteelStacks to pick up a shuttle to the Northside. Shuttles run back-to-back and make travel between the two sites easy. The $3 all-day pass is reasonable. Sunday evening was a beautiful evening to be at Musikfest. Cast in Bronze had an interesting variation of "Tublular Bells" with a little "Phantom of the Opera" mixed in. Loved The Red Elvises at Levitt but there show had a little different feel to it than when we are all stuffed inside the tent at Volksplatz.
