Police attempting to stop a driver with an expired inspection sticker instead arrested him on an array of charges when they caught up with him around 8 p.m. July 25.
According to police, James Beasley, 36, of Clay Street in Tamaqua, swung behind the Spillman Drive Cigars International, nearly striking a pedestrian. He then fled officers who attempted a traffic stop and was apprehended later. Officers discovered he was already wanted on a drug-related warrant in Montgomery County.
Beasley is charged with false ID, fleeing and eluding, reckless endangerment, possession of paraphernalia and eight assorted traffic and vehicle documentation violations.
