Driver arrested

in Upper Macungie

Shane Bargher, 32, of Allentown, was stopped for an alleged traffic violation 11:49 p.m. July 6 on Tilghman Street, west of Blue Barn Road, Upper Macungie, State Police Troop M Fogelsville say.

Police allege Bargher exhibited signs of intoxication.

He was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and transported to Lehigh County Prison and released, say police.

Road rage incident reported

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Jonathan Edwards, 55, of Allentown, and a 51-year-old man from Lincoln, R.I. allegedly became involved in an altercation 5:11 a.m. July 5 while traveling on the Route 100 northbound ramp to I-78 eastbound, Upper Macungie Township.

Police say Edwards allegedly swerved his vehicle in front of the other man's vehicle, stopped on the ramp, approached his vehicle and began yelling at him.

Edwards allegedly damaged the antenna on the man's vehicle, police say.

According to police, the Rhode Island man fled the scene.

Charges were filed against Edwards, police say.
