Nancy J. Moats, 77, a lifelong resident of Whitehall, died peacefully on July 18, 2013, at home surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Born in Allentown to the late Henry and Edith (Deily) Thomas, she was the wife of Carl H. Moats for 44 years at the time of his death March 24, 1999.
She was a member of St. John's UCC, Fullerton.
A cafeteria worker at Whitehall High School for more than 22 years until retiring, she was a popular cook and waitress at Fullerton Fire Hall for many years, where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.
She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Fullerton American Legion Post 367.
Her survivors include a daughter Denise M. Harry and her husband Carl of Bethlehem; son Douglas M. and his wife Charlotte (Kurucz) Moats of Texas; grandchildren Carl Harry Jr., Melissa Ryberg, Ashley Barnwell and her husband Stephen; great-grandchildren Kira, Hailee and Brooke; sisters Grace Peters of Florida, Janet Searfass and husband Edward of Allentown, Bobbi Shannon and husband Gene of Florida, Sandie Easterwood of Ormrod, Linda Gray of Reading, Debra McBeth and husband Michael of Alburtis, and Sue Koval of North Carolina; brothers Richard K. "Dick" Thomas of Whitehall and Donald "Jack" Thomas of Florida; along with a large extended family;
