John R. Bellesfield

John R. Bellesfield, 88, died July 18, 2013, at the Phoebe Home, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Geraldine (Gorman), the late June (Plotts) and Grace (Deppner) Bellesfield.

Born in Bangor, he was a son of the late Richard and Lottie (Hogland) Bellesfield.

He was in the U.S. Army in World War II.

He was a security guard for Victaulic for 40 years until he retired in 1982.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Quakertown.

He was a bingo caller for the Knights and Steel Workers groups; a Fourth Degree member Knights of Columbus Council No. 345, Easton, and the United Steel Workers Union, Easton.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann and her husband Thomas Briggs of Allentown; a stepdaughter, Patricia G. and her husband Richard Chontofalsky of Whitehall; a stepson, John G. and his wife Betty Leonard of Livingston, Mont.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and a brother, Richard Bellesfield of Williams Township.

He was predeceased by a son, James A. Thorne; two brothers; and two sisters.
