James M. "Whitey" White, 71 of Slatington, died July 17, 2013.
He was the husband of the late Shirley M. (Knittle) White, who died in 1998.
Born in Walnutport, he was the son of the late Charles Mickey and Mildred (Fritzinger) White.
He retired from American Nickeloid. Prior to that, he worked for the former Serfass Exxon, Slatington.
Following his retirement, he worked part time for Blue Mountain Pressure Casting.
He was an avid antique clock collector and restorer, and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
His survivors include sons, Jesse A. and wife, Tammy of New Tripoli, Robert C. and wife Susan of Germansville, and Andrew J. and wife Katrina of Bowmanstown; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; sister Ann and husband Edward Becker of Allegheny, N.Y.
He was predeceased by a grandson, Ryan; and a brother Ernest.
