Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church invites all children ages 3-10 to vacation Bible school.

"Kingdom Rock – Where Kids Stand Strong for God" will be held 6-8:30 p.m. July 28-Aug. 1.

A light dinner starting at 5:30 p.m. will precede each evening's activities.

Salem United Church of Christ, 2218 Community Drive, is offering vacation Bible school 6-8:30 p.m. July 22-26.

This year's theme is "God's Backyard Bible Camp" and involves great Bible stories, fun crafts, snacks and other special surprises.

Covenant United Methodist Church, 2715 Mountain View Drive (Route 946), will offer story time 9:30-11 a.m. July 24 and 31.

Children ages 3-5 are invited.

Thursday, July 25, is the deadline to drop off housewares for the youth mission of Christ United Church of Christ, Little Moore.

The mission trip goal is to help people rebuild from Hurricane Sandy.

Youth are accepting new pillows, blankets, comforters, microwaves, coffee makers and gift cards to Walmart or Target.

Items can be dropped off at Latteman Corner Store in Klecknersviile or brought to the church, 913 S. Mink Road, Danielsville.

The Moore Township Police Association is holding a four-man scramble golf tournament beginning at 1 p.m. July 20 at Whitetail Golf Course.

Moore Township will be celebrating its 250th anniversary in 2015.

In preparation, the board of supervisors is forming a historical society and is looking for volunteers to help research information on historical and current events pertaining to Moore Township.
