Jeffrey Bartman, presently serving as dean of students, has been approved as assistant principal at Springhouse Middle School at an annual salary of $94,778.

He will replace Megan Bauer who will move to Orefield Middle School as a guidance counselor.

Bartman received both his Bachelor's degree in secondary education and his Master's of education degree from Kutztown University.

He earned his principal's certification at Wilkes University, with a major in education leadership.

Bartman was a classroom teacher for 17 years.

The board granted unanimous approval to Bartman's new role at the May 21 meeting.

District Superintendent Richard Sniscak offered comments.

"Jeff is an individual who strives for excellence in all he does and possesses a high degree of enthusiasm and motivation," Sniscak said. "We look forward to welcoming him into this new position."
