Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall, is offering Fairy House projects 10-11 a.m. July 11 for children entering third through fifth grade.

Learn about fairies, build a house for them and make a fairy wind chime.

The library will be having stories in the school 10-11 a.m. at Schnecksville Elementary July 11, Fogelsville Elementary, July 17, and 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Ironton Elementary July 23 and Fogelsville Elementary, July 24.

Join the Lehigh Valley Therapy Dogs for Read to the Pups and practice your reading aloud to these patient and gentle dogs 6:30-7:30 p.m. July 15 and July 22.

Storytime and a craft with Miss Carly will be 10-11 a.m. July 16 and 18 at the South Whitehall Township Building.

Book Quest for adults will meet 7-8 p.m. July 16 to discuss "The Tiger's Wife," a novel by Tea Obreht, in the South Whitehall Township Building. New members are welcome.

Join Debrosha McCantsto make a "groundbreaking" piece of jewelry from geode slices 7-8 p.m. July 17 on the library lawn.

Mad Science of the Lehigh Valley will amaze with Mineral Mania 10-11 a.m. July 23 for children in grades three to five.

Get hands on learning with geology, the science of rocks and minerals.

Members of Books into Movies will discuss "The Hunger Games," by Suzanne Collins, 7-8 p.m. July 23 in the South Whitehall Township Building.

Registration is needed to attend the fairy houses, read to the pups, jewelry making and the Mad Science of the Lehigh Valley.

Upper Macungie Township will present "Here Comes the Boom" July 12 at Grange Park Upper Macungie Township.

There will be games and activities, music, a puppet show and flag ceremony at 7 p.m. prior to the movie at sunset.

This PG rated movie starring Kevin James, Salma Hayek and Henry Winkler is about former collegiate wrestler, Scott Voss, an apathetic biology teacher in a failing high school.

When cutbacks threaten the school's music program and its teacher, Voss springs into action.

The township and USPTA Certified Tennis Pro George Henry and staff are conducting tennis clinics for children ages 4-18 and adults until Aug. 8 at Ricky Park, 8330 Schantz Road, Brein-igsville.

There is a fee per five week session.

Upper Macungie Township, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, will be holding a free family fishing program for residents 9 a.m.-1 p.m. July 20 at Apple Park, 1935 Packhouse Road, Fogels-ville.

The program is a four-hour educational fishing program designed to introduce families to the joy of angling.

The first half of the program will be educational. The second half will be the fishing experience.

Children must be at least 8 years old to participate.

St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church and St. John's United Church of Christ will be having Vacation Bible School "Everywhere Fun Fair: Where God's World Comes Together" 9 a.m.-noon July 22-26 at 1027 Church St., Fogelsville

Children will explore the everyday life of neighbors from Japan, Zimbabwe, the United Kingdom, Australia and Mexico at a child-friendly fair.
