In the midst of the heat waves we have been experiencing this summer, keep an eye on your elderly relatives, friends and neighbors.
Make sure they are drinking enough water and they have a cool place to stay.
Also, make sure your pets have ample water and have a cool place to stay indoors.

Do not forget to use the township's wonderful public pools to keep cool.
We are so lucky to have the Jefferson Street, Cementon and Parkview pools to enjoy during the summer months.

If you are looking for something fun to do in the area, the Burnside Plantation, located on Schoenersville Road in Bethlehem, will hold its annual blueberry festival 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, July 20, and Sunday, July 21.
Plantation tours will be available, along with many blueberry themed treats and music.
There is an entrance fee for the festival.
