Hoop teams take to courts
In the Catasauqua Girls Varsity Basketball League the Liberty Hurricanes got by the Wilson Lady Warriors 43-36. Cailey Sanchez scored 11 points in the victory.

In more hoops action, Bethlehem teams played in the mens league in Catasauqua on Monday night and Monday and Wednesday up in North Catty.
G & S Fastening Systems of Bethlehem and Whitehall beat P.J. Whelihan's by a wide margin, 70-28, as former Emmaus High School's Dough Spadt racked up 18 points.
North Catty play on Monday night saw Orange Julius paced by Kevin Michevious, a former Emmaus and Lehigh Carbon Community College player, put up 22 points in a 49-36 win over Stellar Construction.
Pammer Chiropractic of North Catasauqua sneaked by P.J. Whelihan's 50-49 as Paul Pammer, former DeSales University player, pumped in 18 points.
Borderline Diner of Bethlehem defeated Stew's Tire of Schnecksville, 56-53, as Bethlehem resident Ralph Padilla scored 14 points.
Pammer led Pammer Chiropractic on Wednesday night in the North Catasauqua Summer Basketball League with 25 points in a 70-57 win over Stew's Tires.
Brady's Buncha Sports (Catasauqua High School) bettered Bucketz by nine points 54-45 as rising senior Derek Bond scored 15 points for Brady's.
Soto Santi of Bethlehem fell to Northampton Alumni 56-45. Brian Wildrick scored 22 points.

At North Catty Playground in a battle for Bethlehem basketball supremacy, P.J. Whelihan's edged Team Holmes, made up of many former Liberty High School players as Joe Munley. Munley racked up 28 points. Holmes had Brandon Holland drop in 22 points as well.
In the Catasauqua Adult Summer Basketball League, the Nites of Bethlehem won another all-Bethlehem matchup, 59-48, over P.J. Whelihan's. Jamie McCants led the Nites with 22.
