The Parkland Garden Club will present its annual tour of 10 outstanding private gardens, titled "Midsummer's Idylls," rain or shine, July 13.
Visitors will discover innovative garden ideas and meet and talk to with gardeners.
This year's tour will feature David Shimp from Phoebe Floral Shop planting a Faerie garden in a container at one of the gardens.
There will be a Chinese auction at another and some Shakespearian characters at others.
Hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Tickets will be for sale, in advance, at the following local businesses:
·C. Leslie Smith, Village West Shopping Center, Cedar Crest Boulevard and Tilghman Street;
·Dan Schantz Greenhouse, 3300 Lehigh St. Allentown;
·Lehigh Valley Home and Garden Center, 4220 Crackersport Road, Allentown;
·Herbein's Garden Center, Route 29, Emmaus;
·Phoebe Floral Shop, 2102 W. Hamilton St., Allentown;
·Eagle Point Farm Market and Greenhouses, 853 S. Route 100, Trexlertown;
·Kuss Brothers Nursery, 670 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Allentown; and
·Garden of Eden Florist, 2047 Route 309, South whtiehall.
Refreshments will be available at most of the gardens.
