Bethlehem's legion teams try to stay on top of their divisions as the final week of the season is upon us.
Bath (11-5) started out slow last week after an 0-3 start, but finished 3-4 as they look to hold off Nazareth (9-3-2) and Northampton (9-6) in the division.
Bath dropped contests to Kemp Post, Freemansburg and Big Pocono to start the week, but battled back to win two out of their next three, starting with Saturday's 12-4 victory over the Wanderers in their first game of a double-header on the day.
They lost their night cap by an 8-6 score to Lehigh West Bethlehem, but came back to win both of Sunday's contests.
They knocked off the Birches 3-1 to close some ground on the league leaders and simulated that same score over Hellertown that evening.
With this being the final week of the regular season for the summer, Bath has four games on the docket to try and pull out the top-seed heading into the playoffs. They played Northampton on Monday, take on Lehigh West Bethlehem (3-13) and Nazareth on Wednesday and Friday.
Bath would need to win out and have the Birches go through a meltdown in order to overtake the current leaders.
Freemansburg (7-8) leads the South, as sec- ond place Hellertown (7-10) is still on their heels.
That's why Monday's contest against Hellertown could go a long way toward determining who wins the division and earns an automatic spot to the postseason.
They close out the week with Easton, Wind Gap and Wanderers.
The Wanderers (4-13), Jeff's (3-12) and Lehigh WB (3-13) all sit near the bottom of the standings and have been eliminated from playoff contention.
