Shirley J. Warm kessel, 82, of Bethlehem, died June 8, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
She and her husband Robert L. Warmkessel celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Sept. 6, 2012.
Born Feb. 25, 1931, in Ormrod, she was the daughter of the late Lewis L.W. Jr. and Jennie M.A. (Stettler) Steckel.
She was a Lehigh County special deputy sheriff from 1949-52.
A member of the Lutheran congregation of Cedar Union Church, Cetronia, she was a member of the choir for the last 55 years and served as secretary of the worship and music committee.
She was current secretary of the Cedar Church Bowling League and the Wednesday A.M.'s.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, Kathy L. Armellino and her husband, Maurice, of Allentown, Jerry A. and his wife, Gwen, of Allentown, Debbie A. Haas and her husband, George, of Bethlehem; sisters Florentine R. Gourniak of Ormrod, Dorothy A. Blank of Wall Township, N.J.; grandchildren Andrew and LeeAnn, Joseph and Gregory Warmkessel, Jeremy Haas, Thomas Armellino, Lisa Warm-kessel and Amanda Haas.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Marc Armellino.
