Louis J. Deutsch

Louis J. Deutsch, 73, of Fullerton, did peacefully June 21, 2013 in Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown

Born in Fullerton to the late Louis and Susan (Dolinsky) Deutsch Sr., he was the husband of Leona R. (Bachman) Deutsch for 28 years.

A member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, he honorably served his country in the U.S. Army, and was a dedicated member of Fullerton American Legion Post 367 and its funeral honor guard.

He worked for Mack Truck in Allentown and Macungie for more than 32 years until retiring.

A life member of the Fullerton Fire Co. No. 1, he was member of Porter Lodge 284 F&AM, bowled with the Senior League at Coplay Saengerbund, member of the St. Aloysius Society, and the Fearless and Woodlawn fire companies.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by her children Robbie Best and wife Linda, and Larry Best all of Danielsville, Sally Haas and husband Keith of Slatington, and Wendy Williams and husband, Durand of Lehighton and their children Tyler Best, Jacob and Kolten Williams; and sisters Anna Matika, Peggy and Kathy Deutsch.

He was predeceased by a sister Barbara.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:30 p.m. June 27, 2013 in the church, 618 Fullerton Ave. Whitehall.

Visitation with his family will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in Gilbert Funeral Home, 444 Pershing Blvd. Whitehall.

Interment with Legion Honors will follow in Danielsville Union Cemetery.
