On Monday night at Opportunity Field in the Central Whitehall Baseball League winner's bracket semifinals, Catty Brown broke open a 7-7 tie to win 16-7, in a showdown with Catty White.
Adam Reinhart hurled three innings for Brown, followed by Tyler Monahan's three before Sebastian Arias closed out the victory.
It was a tight game until the bottom of the sixth.
The White is still alive in the playoffs as they travel up to meet Egypt Green, the number-two seed on Thursday evening.
The Brown will play at Opportunity Field hosting Bowmanstown 2 in the winner's bracket final on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Both teams are number-one seeds from their respective divisions.
Jalen Lukitsch and Tyler Monahan had the biggest sticks for the Browns driving in Jacob Nye and Donavan Walakovits. Reinhart started the merry-go-round up again and Arias' walk pushed Adam Reinhart across the plate for a 12-7 lead.
Dylan Herzog went 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs.
Correction
Last week's Biddy Brown article had the Brown's coach's name incorrect. The coach is Travis Brett.
