Parkland Comunity Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall, is offering a basic email classfrom 9-10 a.m. June 15.

Learn how to create a free web-based email account to keep in contact with friends and family, submit employment applications, and more.

The library's book group for adults, Book Quest, will meet to discuss "The Plague of Doves" a novel by Louise Erdrick 7-8:30 p.m. June 18 in the South Whitehall Township Building.

The public is invited to create an "edible book" and enter it in a library contest.

Entry must be edible and must relate to a book.

The public will vote for the winner from 6-8 p.m. June 20 on library's porch.

Winner will be announced 8:15 p.m. Bring submissions to the library 4-6 p.m. on the day of the event.

Friends of the Parkland Community Library will be having a used book sales on the library porch 10 a.m.-4 p.m. June 21.

The library is offering a basic internet class 9-10 a.m. June 22.

Join the crew of Irish pirate Grace O'Malley to experience the high sea adventure with Irish jigs, folktales and sea chanteys 6 p.m. June 24 at Jordan Lutheran Church, 5103 Snowdrift Road, Orefield, for Kit's Interactive Theater.

Yoga with Stacy Daniels for children ages 2 to 6 will take place in the South Whitehall Township Building from 10-11 a.m. June 25. Bring a yoga mat or beach towel.

Join the library's new discussion group for adults, Books into Movies, to discuss "One for the Money" by Janet Evanovich 7-8 p.m. June 25 held in the South Whitehall Township building.

Upper Macungie Township will be presenting its fourth season of Movies in the Park starting with "Captain America: The First Avenger" June 14 at Lone Lane Park, 30 Lone Lane, Upper Macungie.

There will be games and activities, music, a puppet show and flag ceremony at 7 p.m. prior to the movie at sunset.

This PG-13 rated movie starring Chris Evans, Stanley Tucci and Tommy Lee Jones is about a brave, yet mild-mannered young soldier, Steve Rogers, who volunteers to undergo a series of experiments for a U.S. Army super soldier program.

Members of the Robert M. Fegely VFW Post 8282, 1522 Butz Road, Brein-igsville, will be having a pig roast 3-7 p.m. June 22.

There will be pork barbecue, refreshments and the Jim Mack band will perform 7:30-10:30 p.m.

A donation will be taken at the door. The VFW Post 8282 will be a meat drawing 3:30 p.m. June 23.
