Police arrested a 61-year-old man for hitting two pedestrians with his car, severely injuring both.

Police said around 12:30 a.m. June 7 Willie Brickhouse, of Cherokee Street, hit a 21-year-old man and 18-year-old woman on Broadway and continued driving.

The victims were transported to St. Luke's University Hospital for treatment.

Witnesses identified the car, which officers found nearby with heavy front-end damage.

Brickhouse is charged with two counts of accidents involving death or personal injury.
