Frances M. Zellner, 92, formerly of Slatedale and Schnecksville, died May 30, 2013, in the Village at Palmerton.

She was the widow of Clarence B. Zellner who died in 1960.

Born Feb. 7, 1921, in Slatedale, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mabel (Schlosser) Kern.

She graduated from the former Slatington High School in 1938.

Employed by the former Western Electric Company from 1955 until retiring in 1980, she previously was a member of the retirees club.

She also was a sewing machine operator at various knitting mills.

A longtime member of Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Slatington, she served there as a Sunday School teacher in the past.

She enjoyed reading, watching TV, shopping and traveling.

Her survivors include a son John B. and his wife, Susan; granddaughters Monica, wife of Jonathan Griffith, Alana, wife of Ryan Smoyer; and seven great-grandchildren.
