Police made several alcohol-related driving arrests the early morning of may 27.

Twenty-seven-year-old Omer Aci of Rosewood Drive for driving while intoxicated around 1:30 a.m.

Police said Aci crashed his van into the concrete wall in front of the Perkins restaurant on the Route 378 onramp at Second Street. When officers responded they determined Aci was drunk, and charged him with DUI.

At virtually the same time, 51-year-old Miriam Acevedo of Pennsylvania Avenue crashed into a fence near her home. Fence pieces went through her windshield, injuring her. She is charged with DUI and careless driving.

Around 3:20 a.m. officers on East Fourth Street observed two people passed out in a car at the intersection of South New and East Fourth streets. The driver, Jonathan Torres-Casiano, 21, of East Fourth Street, is charged with DUI, careless driving and driving under suspension.
