Moore Township Column

Moore Township electronics recycling day is this Saturday, June 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event will be held at Moore Elementary School, 2835 Mountain View Drive, Bath.

This free service is available to all residents and small businesses with less than 50 employees.

Electronic devices with a plug will be accepted with the exception of smoke detectors, large appliances and projection televisions.

Mountain View Wesleyan Church, 1001 Deemers Road, is having its fifth annual yard sale 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, June 20, 21 and 22.

Refreshments and a bake sale will be available and a car wash will be offered on Saturday.

The Point Phillips community will also participate by having individual yard sales. The event will be held rain or shine.

Christ United Church of Christ, 913 South Mink Road, Danielsville, will be having Vacation Bible School 6-8 p.m. June 23-27.

The theme this year is "Camping in God's Backyard." Activities each night will include games, crafts, stories and snacks.

Salem United Church of Christ, 2218 Community Drive, has the following events coming up:

· The annual Strawberry Festival, 3-9 p.m. Saturday, June 8. It will include live music, lots of food, game stands and raffle prizes.

· Youth group car wash 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at the AutoZone on Route 248, Nazareth. This event will benefit the Salem U.C.C. youth group.

Covenant United Methodist Church, 2715 Mountain View Drive (Route 946), will host a story time June 12 and 19 at 9:30 a.m.

Also on June 12, a softball and knitting night is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Scarves are being made for a charity project. All are welcome to attend.
