The ninth annual Justin Sheftel Softball Tournament will take place from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. on June 22 at Parkland High School, 2700 N Cedar Crest Boulevard, South Whitehall.

The tournament began in 2005 within three weeks after Justin was killed by a drunk driver.

Through the years, the tournament has expanded in many ways while keeping its same core values: to provide friends and families an opportunity to come together for a day of fun and competitive softball, inform the public about the dangers of underage drinking, and drinking while driving, and most importantly, to honor the memory of Justin.

"This year promises to be a fun-filled tournament bringing back the Home Run Derby at noon," Linda Sheftel said. "The Mocktail Mixoff will have all four of Red Robin restaurant's mixologists competing for the prize.

"Come watch, cheer, enjoy the food, and helps us to give back to the community while honoring our son."
