Catasauqua's girls softball team had their playoff run end on Thursday night with a 2-1 loss to rival Pen Argyl in the District 11 2A finals at Parkland.
Green Knight pitcher Emily Smull was able to quiet the Roughie bats allowing just six hits and a walk while striking out five.
Pen Argyl struck first in the top of the fourth with two runs thanks to RBIs from Madisyn Einfalt and Laura Zanette. Einfalt would finish with two hits on the day as would Rachel Warren.
Catty responded with a run in the bottom half of the inning as Paige Kogelman singled and scored on a Shea O'Brien hit. But Catty would be unable to produce any more runs.
