Upper Macungie Township police were dispatched May 21 to four separate incidents of thefts from vehicles and vehicles being ransacked.

According to Sgt. Peter Nickischer, the locations included the 1500 block of Russet and the 5500 block of Juniper, both in Green Hills; the 200 block of Wyndham, Windermere and the 200 block of Lenape, Olde Towne.

Police say in some of these cases, items such as change and a GPS unit were removed.

No signs of forced entry were seen, suggesting the vehicles were unlocked, police say.

Police recommend residents remove valuables from cars and keep them locked when not in use, especially during the overnight hours.
