The Whitehall Township Industrial and Commercial Development Authority has expanded its membership, going from seven to nine members.
The increase in board members reflects a much more active role the authority has taken in its activities and workload.
The township commissioners unanimously approved the authority's expansion May 13 meeting and appointed David Bachinski and Donald Sillivan to the additional spots. Previously the board tapped Howard Liebermann to serve as executive director.
The township administration and commissioners have made it clear one of the authority's priorities is the Lehigh Valley Dairy property on the south end of MacArthur Road.
The commissioners also accepted a $30,460 bid of Wilson Paving Company, Carlisle, to rent an asphalt milling machine as part of the township's 2013 street resurfacing program.
Hanson Aggregates, Stroudsburg, was awarded a $229,164 contract for street resurfacing projects.
