Coplay resident Ron Helman lost his bid for a seat on the Whitehall-Coplay School Board.

Unofficial results show Helman earned the least number of votes on both the Democratic and Republican tickets. Like all the candidates, he cross filed.

On the Republican side, incumbent Eileen Abruzzi earned the most votes with 566, followed by Robert Kolb, 548, Wayne Grim, 524 and Josef Fragnito, 517. Helman won 461 votes.

On the Democratic ticket, Abruzzi won the most votes with 1029, followed by Fragnito with 992, Kolb with 854, Grim with 791 and Helman with 715, according to unofficial results.

The top four vote-getters advance to the November general election.
