A 52-year-old Schnecksville man died after sustaining injuries in a crash 2:53 p.m. May 17 along Park Avenue, Washington Township.

Timothy Elton Reichard, 5709 Route 873, died from blunt force trauma to the torso, Lehigh County Chief Deputy Corner Paul Hoffman told The Press.

Hoffman said Reichard was pronounced dead at 3:46 p.m. last Friday in the emergency room of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

An autospy was performed May 18, Hoffman said, adding Reichard's death was ruled an accident.

State Police Troop M Bethlehem say Reichard was operating a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on Park Avenue, approaching Oakwood Lane when it collided at the intersection with a 2012 Chelrolet Equinox SUV driven southbound on Oakwood Lane by Jayson Louis Wagner, 63, of Quakertown.

Police say Wagner proceeded without clearance from a stop sign into the path of the motorcycle, which did not have a stop sign.

The motorcycle struck the front left bumper of the SUV and traveled off the roadway into a field.

Both Reichard and passenger Judy Lynn Olewine, 50, of Schnecksville, were thrown from the motorcycle, police say.

After initial impact, the SUV proceeded forward into the field and made a secondary point of impact into a street sign, police say.

Both Reichard and Olewine were transported by EMS to the hospital.
