According to a press release from the Parkland School District, a teenage intruder was captured during the evening of May 19 at Springhouse Middle School, Springhouse Road, South Whitehall.

According to the press release, the school's alarm system operated appropriately notifying police of an unauthorized entry.

Police and a school service supervisor responded immediately.

There was a complete search of the building following the teen's apprehension.

According to the press release, the student allegedly was attempting to steal a television in the hallway.

The matter is under police investigation, the press release states, and no further information is available.
