Emmaus Special Entertainment Commission Memorial Day Dash & Splash 5K and Emmaus Gets Fit Health Fair. Events begin 9 a.m. with free Zumba at the Emmaus Arts Pavilion. Race Day registration opens 9 a.m. with the race scheduled for 11 a.m. The Emmaus Community Pool opens 11:30 a.m. and "School's Out Band" performs at noon. The health fair concludes 3 p.m.

Members of the Emmaus Commemorative Gardens Foundation will add 16 bricks to the Veteran's Walkway 1 p.m. For the seventh year, this ceremony is a combined effort of the Emmaus Veteran's Committee and the Emmaus Commemorative Gardens Foundation.The Veteran's Walkway is one area of the garden that acknowledges the service and sacrifice that veterans and their families have made for our country. The installations will be immediately followed by the inaugural Community Celebration of Service event to honor Emmaus Commemorative Gardens Foundation volunteers, donors and the community served.

Emmaus Memorial Day Parade, 9 a.m. Parade departs from the Emmaus High School parking lot and proceeds to the Memorial Triangle for services. The rain location is the high school auditorium 9:30 a.m.

Upper Milford Historical Society meets 7 p.m. at the Upper Milford Municipal Building, Old Zionsville. Attendees should bring something to share, discuss, inquire about, show, etc. for Discovery Night. All are welcome; refreshments will be provided. For additional information, call 610-966-4376.

The Lehigh Valley Chapter 1371 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees will conduct their monthly meeting noon at St. Peters Lutheran Church community room, 1933 Hanover Ave., Allentown, starting with lunch. A brief business session will conclude the meeting. All current and former Federal workers are invited to attend. Dave Tettemer of the Bonsai Society of Lehigh Valley will give a talk on the history of bonsai and show some examples of different styles of bonsai 6:30 p.m. in the Lower Macungie Township Community Center. Bonsai is the art of growing dwarfed, ornamentally shaped trees or shrubs in small shallow pots or trays. Mr. Tettemer is a past president of the BSLV and the current President of the MidAtlantic Bonsai Societies. He has received numerous "People's Choice" awards and in 2008 received the "Best in Show" award for a Japanese larch tree displayed at the regional MidAtlantic Bonsai Societies Convention. Allentown AARP Chapter #5415 will meet noon, at St. Timothy's Church, 140 South Ott St., Allentown. "Captain Radio" aka Joe Hehn will take us on a journey through the glory days of radio. Remember sitting around your radio listening to your favorite show? Who was your favorite star? Relive the memories through the knowledge of "Captain Radio." Everyone is welcome. The Lower Milford Township Fire Company will hold a carnival 6 to 10:30 p.m. through June 15. All proceeds benefit the fire company. Special entertainment 7 p.m. each night with fireworks June 14.
